Medulla Oblongata (Anterior Median Fissure) Anatomy in 3D

A deep groove on the anterior surface of the medulla that is interrupted by the decussation of the pyramids. Occlusion of the anterior spinal artery in this region can lead to Medial Medullary Syndrome, causing contralateral hemiparesis.
