By accessing or using Rolandic ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Rolandic is an educational and visualization tool designed for researchers, students, and healthcare professionals.

• Not a Medical Device: The Service is not a diagnostic tool and is not intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease.
• No Clinical Reliance: You agree not to rely on the Service for surgical planning, intra-operative guidance, or clinical decision-making. Always verify anatomical relationships with standard, clinically approved imaging and atlases.
• Professional Judgment: You acknowledge that the Service is a supplement to, not a substitute for, your professional medical judgment.

Rolandic uses Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI to interpret your commands and render 3D scenes.

• Potential for Error: AI systems can produce "hallucinations" or inaccuracies. While we strive for high-fidelity neuroanatomy, the Service may occasionally misinterpret a prompt or render a structure incorrectly.
• User Responsibility: You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of the visualization against established medical literature before using it for teaching or research purposes.

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

• Content Ownership & Licensing: We leverage community 3D assets that are open-source and commercially available. Derivative models used within the Service that are licensed under ShareAlike or similar open licenses are available to the public on our Github repository.
• Proprietary Technology: While some of the anatomical models may be open-source, the Rolandic platform code, rendering engine, AI integration, and proprietary algorithms are the exclusive property of Rolandic.
• Your Inputs: You retain rights to the text prompts you enter. By using the Service, you grant Rolandic a license to use these prompts to generate the visualization and improve our AI models.

You agree not to:

• Input Protected Health Information (PHI) regarding real patients (e.g., patient names, specific case IDs) into the prompt bar. Rolandic is not HIPAA compliant.
• Reverse engineer the 3D rendering pipeline.
• Use the Service to generate misleading medical content for dissemination.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rolandic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or professional liability claims, arising from your use of the Service. The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE."

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

• Account Information: Name, email address, and professional affiliation (if provided).
• Usage Data: Browser type, session duration, and 3D interaction logs (e.g., which anatomical structures are frequently viewed).
• Input Data: The natural language prompts you type (e.g., "Show me the Arcuate Fasciculus").

• Service Provision: To process your prompts and render the corresponding 3D scenes.
• AI Training: We may use anonymized prompt data to refine our natural language processing models (e.g., to better understand medical terminology).
• Communication: To send product updates or service alerts.

We utilize third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, or cloud GPU providers) to process your text inputs and generate responses.

• Data Sharing: Your text prompts are sent to these providers for processing. We ensure our agreements with these providers include strict data privacy clauses.
• No Training on Personal Data: We do not allow third-party providers to use your personal identifiable information (PII) to train their foundational models.

We use cookies to maintain your session state (so you don't lose your place in the 3D view) and analytics tools (like Google Analytics) to understand how users navigate the interface.

We implement industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for data in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Opt-out of data usage for AI training.
